You will be able to directly sync contacts to Gmail on your Android phone. Follow the steps given below:
1) Press on the menu button > “Settings” > “Accounts and sync” > “Add account” > and “Google” > “Next” >”Sign in”.
2) Now enter your Gmail login details. If you do not have already Gmail account, tap on the “Create” button instead and fill in the form given.
3) Tap on the “Sign in” > “Sync Contacts” > “Finish” button.
4) If you would not like to add the account to Gmail, you will be able to back up all the Android contacts to the Gmail on your laptop. Before you are importing contacts to Gmail on your laptop, export them from the Android to laptop. Now enter the “Contacts” > and on the menu button > “Import/Export” > and “Export to your SIM Card or to the storage” > “OK”.
Step 1: Log into Gmail account
Sign in to Gmail together with your account and the password. After that, you click on the triangle icon and expand the list. select “Contacts > More > and Import”. Then from there select the “GO TO OLD CONTACTS > and then also Import Contacts”. Now all your contacts are exported in the form of VCF format.
Step 2: Choose and Import Contacts to Gmail
Select contacts in VCF format in your laptop. Then click on the “Open”. When the pop up as below appears, choose “Import”.
Check your Gmail account, you will be able to see all the imported contacts displayed in the list.
Step 1: Tap on the Contact icon on your device.
Step 2 : Press the menu button which is at the upper-right corner and choose the option “Move device contacts to”.
Step 3: Select to back up all the Android contacts to the “Google”.
Step 4: Tap on the “OK” button. All your Android contacts are secured in your Google account.
