How to Download Aadhaar Card Online/Duplicate (Copy) Aadhaar Card

The government looks serious this time regarding aadhaar card. The official portal providing access to Aadhar card called Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides facility to download aadhaar card and is called e-aadhaar which is as valid as original copy and also facilitates by providing the copy of aadhaar card if anyone loses it provided that they have Enrollment number or Aadhar number or Email address/Mobile number associated with their account.

Download Aadhaar Card Online Using Enrollment Number or Aadhaar number

· Download using enrollment number

Before you start downloading your e-aadhaar card, be sure you check the status of your aadhaar card by following our articles on HOW TO CHECK STATUS OF YOUR AADHAAR CARD ONLINE. After you check the status of your card follow the steps to download it

  1. Go to https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
  2. Select “Enrollment Id” under “I have”
  3. Enrollment ID refers to the 28 digit placed on the top of your enrollment slip (also called acknowledgment slip) which is a combination of enrollment number and date & time of enrollment
  4. Enter details: Full name, Pin number (It is found in the Enrollment slip/acknowledgment slip), your mobile number and the security code as in captcha displayed on the screen
  5. Once done filling the info, click on “Get One Time Password”
  6. You will receive OTP on the mobile phone you provided
  7. Enter that OTP in the section “Enter OTP”
  8. Click “Validate & Download”
  9. Your e-aadhaar will be downloaded in .pdf format which requires your pin as password to open

How to Download Aadhaar Card Online

You have now successfully downloaded a digital copy of your Aadhar Card. You can print it if you wish to. It is advisable that you print it on a photo paper, which increases the shelf life of your E-Aadhar.

·  Download using aadhaar number

You get to know your aadhaar card once you’ve got your card. This means Downloading aadhaar card using aadhaar number is done if anyone has lost it but knows the Aadhaar number or anyone who wants a digital or duplicate copy of the aadhaar card.

  1. Go to https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
  2. Select “Aadhaar number “ under “I have”
  3. Enter your aadhar number (12 digits unique number)
  4. Enter details: Full name, Pin number (It is found in the Enrollment slip/acknowledgment slip) and the security code as in captcha displayed on the screen
  5. Once done filling the info, click on “Get One Time Password”
  6. You will receive OTP on the mobile phone you provided
  7. Enter that OTP in the section “Enter OTP”
  8.  Click “Validate & Download”
  9. Your e-aadhaar will be downloaded in .pdf format which requires your pin as a password to open.
